FRIENDS OF THE EITAN BERGLAS SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

The deep admiration and friendship with which Professor Berglas was regarded by leading figures in the Israeli economy and within the financial, business and commercial communities led to the establishment of the Friends of the Eitan Berglas School of Economics. Headed jointly by Mr. Amiram Sivan, CEO of Bank Hapoalim and Mr. Dov Lautman, Chairman of Delta Industries, the Friends, together with the School's Professor Haim Ben-Shahar, have spearheaded a drive to construct a building to house the Eitan Berglas School of Economics. The response has been overwhelming. In May 2001 the School moved to its very attractive new building designed by Alisa Toledo and Alex Schwartz. The building was funded, almost totally, by Israeli donors, together with a few of the School's closest friends from overseas - all eager to display their homage to Eitan Berglas.

Ongoing activity of The Friends include an annual meeting where leading figures of Israeli economic and industrial circles discuss relevant issues related to the Israeli and the global economies.
